Setting an item to “service-only” status is useful when you want to sell an item without any shipping or sales tax charges.

Service-only items are most often used for customer invoices of services-rendered (labor only fees).

To set an item as service only, simply mark the item to be not shippable and not taxable. Both of these settings are located on the ‘General Info’ section of the Product Manager.

If you want to provide the service-only invoice to a specific customer, you can exclude it from the general store search results and then email the customer a direct URL link to the item.
