PayPal Express Payments API Information Setup

If you want to accept PayPal payments when using another payment processor such as Authorize.net, LinkPoint, YourPay or First Data you will to enter your PayPal API Credentials on the payment processor configuration page under the PayPal Express Payment options.

PayPal Express payments allow you to offer PayPal as a payment option next to your credit card payment options on the /checkout/order_options.asp page.

Below are instructions on how to retrieve your PayPal API Credentials to enable PayPal Express payments on your store:

1)     Login To Your PayPal Account at https://www.paypal.com

2)     Click On “Profile”

3)     Click On “API Access” under the ‘Account Information’ section

4)     Click On Link Under OPTION 2 (Either Get API Certificate Or View API Certificate)

5)     Click On Radio Button Labeled “Request API Signature” (enabled by default)

6)     Click On the “Agree & Submit” button.

7)     Copy & Paste the API UserName, API Password, & API Signature into the ‘PayPal Express Payment Options section your primary credit card processor’s configuration screen.

8)     Check the “Add PayPal Option To Billing Page” checkbox.

9)     Set the ‘Order Post Statue’ to “Live

10)  Save the settings by clicking on the “Update Configuration” button.
