The dynamic menu (left menu links) configuration is accessed by clicking on the ‘Store Setup’ tab and then the link the reads ‘Dynamic Menus’ configuration.

 

The dynamic menus configuration screen sets the display options for the left side links section that is included with the sample store design. If your store is using a custom design, the dynamic left menus may not be available on your store installation. Dynamic links are not required for store operation but provide an easy method to display specific items in the store.

Note: The dynamic menus do not control the main website navigation bar only the left side links located on /store/default.asp and /store/store_results.asp.

The dynamic menu is used to link to specific sections (areas) of the store. All links actually only point to /store/store_results.asp page but filter the items display on the search results page to match what was clicked on the menu.

Below is a screen shot of the dynamic menus configuration screen. Using this screen, you can turn on/off specific sections of the menu, change the menu names that are displayed dynamically on the page and change the price range values for the ‘Shop By Price’ links.
