Site Photo Galleries
You can include unlimited mobile-compatible photo galleries on your website and include them on any CMS managed page.
To create or manage a photo gallery, login to your admin, go to CMS > Site Photo Galleries.
After creating a photo gallery and adding images to the gallery, the photo gallery must be assigned to a CMS page in order to appear on the website.

To turn on/off the home page photo gallery feature go to :
Store Setup > Store Item | Display Setup > Store URL (Website Address) | Default Page Configuration.
