Store URL (Website Address) & Default Page Configuration (/store/default.php or /store/index.php)

This section is accessed by clicking on the ‘Store Setup’ tab and then the ‘Store URL (Website Address) & Default Page Configuration’ link under the ‘Store & Item Display Setup’ area.

The Store URL is the most important setting in the entire store setup. The Store URL controls the auto-generated links, product image display and content formatting.The Store URL is set in the web-based admin by clicking on ‘Store Setup > Store URL (Website Address) & Default Page Configuration.

The store URL should be entered in the format: https://www.yoursite.com (Do not include a trailing slash after the URL)

Features that are enabled and/or configured on this administration page are:

Website URL: Sets main store URL (REQUIRED)

Store Live/Active: If checked on, the store items and content will be visible to public users. If checked off, the store will be disabled and users will be directed to a page with the 'Store Offline' Message Display.

Site Currency Display Settings: This is where you set the currency symbol and currency type that will be used for the online store items, checkout and emails.

Mobile Device Support: If turned on, the user will be given the option to switch between desktop (full) and a mobile-device optimized version of the site and online store. If the user visits the site with a mobile device and they have not previously set their viewing preference to view the desktop (full) version of the site, they will be automatically redirected to the mobile version. If this feature is enabled, users can switch between either the desktop or mobile version anytime and the system will remember their preference the next time they visit the site.

Google Analytics: This field is provided for site usage (traffic) tracking code such as Google Analytic. Although is field is intended for the Google Analytics Javascript snippet that is provided by Google, you can paste any Javascript snippet for any 3rd party tracking system or any Javascript that you want to execute on the page before the end of the </head> tag.

Dynamic Home Page Gallery: If checked on, images uploaded in the home page gallery section of the admin will appear on the home page of the website in a picture slideshow.

Random Home Page Item Display :If checked, items that are checked to “Show On Home Page” in the product manager will be displayed randomly on the sample website’s home page. This is an optional feature.

Home Page Welcome Text: If checked on, the text and/or html that is set in the welcome text editor box will appear below the home page gallery display.

Show Browse Store Image: If checked, the image uploaded will appear below the Welcome text and link directly to the store home page (/store/index.php)

Brands, Cateogories, SubCategories, Shop-By-Styles, Shop-By-Occasions Display | Grids : If these individual fields are checked on, their records will appear on the home page in a display grid specified by the number of rows and columns for each record type.

Show Specials (Sale) Items Scroller: If checked on, the specials scroller display will be displayed on the bottom of the home page. The specials scroller shows all items that have been marked as 'Special' in a randomly generated scrolling "carousel" display.

Header Display: This section turns on the dynamic header content on the /store/index.php page. This is an optional feature but it works well for display banners or images that link to specific sections on the store.

Default.php Featured Items Display : If items are checked as featured items in the product manager, they will appear in the featured item section on /store/index.php. How items are displayed in the featured section can be controlled with the options in this section. This is an optional feature but it works well for highlighting specific items in the store.

Special (Sale) Items Display : If items are checked as “Special” in the product manager, they will appear in the specials section on /store/index.php. How items are display in the specials section can be controlled with the options in this section. Specials can also be set via the specials link on the discounts page in the admin. This is an optional feature.

Footer Display: This section set the dynamic content that can be displayed on the bottom of the /store/index.php page.  This section is optional.
