Discount Types
By default, the following discounts types are built-into to Site Store Pro. Each discount type can be turned off/on using the Discounts Manager or the Products Manager.

Category | SubCat | Style (Collection) Discounts are only applied to the price of the products in the selected Category, Sub-Category or Product Style. This discount type does not apply to the entire order. (Order Min and Max Values rules are not followed.) |

This type of discount can only be applied to a specific item (products). This type of discount can include ITEM-SPECIFIC COUPON CODES where the coupon code is only applied to the price of the specific item and NOT the entire order. |

Coupon Code Discounts can only be applied to the entire order. If you want to apply a coupon code discount to a specific item, you must use the Item-Specific discount type. Coupon Codes can be applied an unlimited number of times during the valid period of the discount. Gift certificate discounts can only be applied one-time and then are automatically disabled. |

Preferred Customer Discounts can only be applied to the entire order. If Preferred Customer Discount is selected as a discount type, a preferred customer discount must be selected and activated in the customer's profile to be applied. |

General Order Discounts can only be applied to the entire order. This type of discount is best used for site-wide discounts such as “20% off all items in the store for 2-days only”. |

New Customer Discounts will only be applied to the 1st Order For New Customers. New Customer discounts can only be applied to the entire order. |

|
The special (sale) price will override the regular price of an item. This discount is not configured in the discounts manager but is configured through the products manager. |
|
|
Wholesale price will only be available to verified wholesale users. This discount is not configured in the discounts manager but is configured through the products manager. |
